Annual is paid once, up front, and covers twelve months for the price of ten. Either way you can cancel; the guarantee covers the first 30 days on both.

Worth knowing before you buy: this renews on its own. The total shown is charged today and again at the start of each period, monthly or yearly as you chose, until you cancel. Cancel any time at fortshield.techfort.net/status or by email. That stops the next charge, and protection runs to the end of what you already paid for.

What happens next

An email with your links

Within a minute you get one download link per computer. Each link carries its own key, so nothing to copy or type.

Run the installer on each computer

Double-click, click Yes when Windows asks. It installs the security team's agent and sets up Microsoft Defender on its own.

Shield up

About four minutes later the shield in the tray turns blue. Your status page shows every computer, its state, and when it last checked in.
