For businesses with 1 to 25 computers
FortShield makes it stop for good. It watches your computer around the clock, fixes the common junk by itself, and puts a real person at TechFort one button away when something needs a human.
30-day money-back guarantee on your first charge. Windows 10 and 11.
What FortShield does
A 24/7 human security team watches every FortShield computer, not just a program. If something real gets in, a person sees it, stops it, and tells you what happened. Nights, weekends, holidays.
The fake popups. The browser that opens on a scam page and will not close. The toolbars nobody installed. The computer that got slow. Hit FIX IT and FortShield runs the same fix a TechFort tech would run, then tells you what it did in plain English.
Some problems need a person. GET HELP opens a ticket with TechFort and attaches the details, so you do not have to describe anything. On Solo, remote help is $49 per incident. On Team and Managed it is included.
The tray
You do not open FortShield. You glance at it. Blue means good. Amber means it is working. Red means a person is on it.
Clearing the saved browser session and blocking the site that opened it. About a minute.
The security team found something FIX IT cannot handle on its own. TechFort has the details and will contact you.
Price
Same shield, same key, same status page on every rung. Nothing gets reinstalled when you move up.
Most businesses start here
1 to 5 computers. Self-serve. Buy online, install, done.
For the office
6 to 25 computers. Adds the help desk and sign-in protection. No network, no on-site, no projects.
The full contract
This is the TechFort contract with FortShield already installed. Each rung is about three times the last, for three times the scope.
Per computer, never per user and never a flat fee, because owners count computers. Annual billing is ten months' price for twelve months. No free trial: the guarantee below is the trial.
How it installs
Card on file, done. You get an email with one download link per computer.
The installer has your key in its name: FortShield-Setup-FS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.exe. No key to copy.
Double-click, click Yes when Windows asks. It sets up the security team's agent and Microsoft Defender on its own.
About four minutes later the shield in your tray turns blue. Nobody types anything.
Windows 10 and 11 only for now. If you are on a Mac, tell us and we will let you know when that changes.
The guarantee
If FortShield is not worth $20 in the first month, email us and we refund your first charge. No form, no phone tree, no "let us try to keep you."
Questions
Partly. FortShield sets up Microsoft Defender, the antivirus already built into Windows, and keeps it configured and updated. The bigger part is what antivirus does not do: a human security team watching for what slips past it, a FIX IT button for the popup junk antivirus ignores because it is not technically a virus, and a person one button away.
No. Windows already includes Microsoft Defender, and FortShield keeps it set right. Running two antivirus products at once makes a computer slower and no safer. If you are paying for Norton, McAfee, or something like them, cancel it once your shield is up and keep the money.
Nothing dramatic. Our card processor retries and emails you a link to update the card. Your protection stays on for 14 days. If the card is still not paying after that, FortShield removes itself and the security agents cleanly, and you can come back any time.
Yes. A key covers one computer at a time. When you replace a computer, email us with the key and we release it the same business day; then run your installer on the new machine. The old computer is cleaned up on its own. A move button on the status page is coming.
No. FortShield reports the computer's name, the Windows version, whether the protection is running, and what FIX IT did. It never uploads your documents, your email, or what you type. When you use GET HELP and a tech connects remotely, you can watch the session on your screen. The full list of what leaves the computer is on the privacy page.
The remote support tool we install is able to connect without putting a prompt on your screen. That is true of every remote support tool every IT company uses, and most never say so. Our rule is that a person connects only when you ask, by pressing GET HELP, calling, or emailing, and the one exception is an active security threat, where we act and then tell you the same day. You can watch any session while it happens and end it whenever you want. If you would rather nobody be able to connect at all, say so and we remove that tool from the computer; everything else keeps working. The details are in the terms.
Month to month, cancel any time from the billing link in your receipt or by email. Annual plans are paid up front at ten months' price and run twelve months. Existing customers keep their price if the price goes up for new ones.
Not yet. FortShield is for Windows 10 and 11. Most small businesses we meet run Windows, so that is where it started. Email us if you want to hear when Mac lands.
